Founded and run in Germany by MCO GmbH as a local health fair for many years, VeggieWorld Expo developed into a full-fledged plant-based lifestyle trade expo with help from ProVeg International – a non-governmental organization committed to food system change. The first VeggieWorld Expo opened in Wiesbaden, Germany in 2011. The launch was met with great support and interest from both the public and industry. As a result, VeggieWorld grew rapidly from hosting in three cities in 2015, to 19 cities across 10 countries in 2020. Throughout Europe, venues were in major cities like Paris, Bordeaux, Lisbon, Zurich, Utrecht, Brussels, Barcelona, Warsaw, Munich, Hannover, Berlin, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf. Through VeggieWorld Expo, the organizers have created a powerful platform to inspire people to experience, adapt and commit to a plant-based lifestyle. At these events, participants from all walks of life learn that veganism is sustainable, responsible, animal and earth-friendly, as well as being easy to follow and a whole lot of fun. With the noble values of the vegan way of life at the Expo's core, organizers and exhibitors proudly and enthusiastically present themselves to the participants and attending media, thereby raising the consciousness of society through their display of love and commitment to their worthy ideals. “VeggieWorld is Europe's largest and oldest trade fair for vegan products. Not only food, but also accessories, cosmetics, clothing - everything you can imagine. Here we are right now in Düsseldorf, but there are seven more locations since 2016, and we are looking forward to seeing you all! We are here already for the fifth time at VeggieWorld and we meet our target audienc here very well.”
