Even as child actors, they wouldn’t accept jobs doing commercials for meat, milk and junk food. In fact, he requires all his movie costumes to be vegan friendly. Joaquin Phoenix is an ardent animal rights activist. He has served as a spokesperson for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for several years. He appeared in many Peta ads and videos.
