In Shining World Compassion Award News from England…
Wildlife charity and conservation organization, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, is best known for its Orphans’ Project, the first orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. Under the leadership of CEO Angela Sheldrick, the Trust has raised over 260 young elephants in need and has also provided veterinary care to thousands of other animals. Mr. Rob Brandford, the Executive Director of Sheldrick Wildlife Trust UK, graciously received the award on behalf of Ms. Sheldrick. The Trust in Kenya was established 40 years ago by Dame Daphne Sheldrick, in memory of her husband, conservationist David Sheldrick, who was the founder warden of a vast national park known as Tsavo. Daphne created the Trust so that she could find a ways and means to care for and provide for orphaned animals, specifically and best known elephants, but also rhinos, many types of antelopes, essentially any animal in need of help. Our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai thankfully presented Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with the Shining World Compassion Award, plus US$10,000 “as a token of gratitude and support for this noble cause.” Our Association members in Surrey, England, were pleased to present to Rob Brandford the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s publications and DVDs, as well as a check of US$10,000 from Master. “This Award is presented in recognition of the Trust’s extraordinary pioneering conservation work, leading the world as the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program.” “Thank you so much. It’s a great privilege to accept this award from Supreme Master Ching Hai on behalf of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Angela Sheldrick – the daughter of David and Daphne. We feel very humbled to have our work recognized globally. Ultimately, we don’t do this work for awards, no one does. But it’s a testament to the success of our project that the work that we’re doing has been recognized. And as I say, we feel extremely humbled and honored and extremely grateful to receive this. Thank you. It’s such an honor to receive this check, considerable funds, a very generous donation, which will empower us to be there for orphan baby elephants in need, so that we can provide them with the nurturing and healing they need, so that when they’re grown, they can return to the wild, where they belong, and where all animals naturally belong. Thank you so much. Our heartfelt congratulations, Angela Sheldrick, Rob Brandford and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust team. May God forever bless you for saving so many of our sweet animal friends. For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, please tune in to our Shining World Award program at a later date.
Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, supports food security in Syria.
The Government of Japan has donated US$3.2 million to the United Nations World Food Programme for assisting 460,000 vulnerable individuals in Syria. Of the total amount, US$1.8 million will be put towards irrigation restoration, thus allowing 67,000 smallholder farmers to access water throughout the year and cultivate their own food to improve their incomes. The other US$1.4 million will provide emergency food aid to 392,000 conflict-affected people in northwest Syria. Our deep gratitude, Japan and World Food Programme, for your vital support of Syrian sisters and brothers in their time of need. May the hard-working people of Syria soon greet brighter and peaceful tomorrows, in Allah’s immense love.

Scotland, United Kingdom, increases renewable electricity consumption.
According to recent data, 90% of electricity usage in Scotland is now generated by renewables – a 14% increase from the last year. The nation seeks to attain 100% renewable electricity this year and may be on track to achieve it now that government subsidies are allowed again for onshore wind projects. Additionally, the Scottish government has a goal of having half of all energy – including electricity, transportation, and heat – to be renewably sourced by 2030. Kudos, Scotland, on your impressive achievement of generating 90% of all your electricity from cleaner sources. In Divine benevolence, may your plans succeed to further green your nation, and thus our world as well.
German university to build carbon capture facility.
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is building the world’s first container-scale plant to test the conversion of carbon dioxide from the air into solid black carbon powder – a raw material that can be used in high-tech industry applications such as printing, electronics and construction. The three-year research project will receive €1.5 million from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The plant will operate by capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and converting it to methane with renewable hydrogen. The methane then passes through a bubble reactor to produce the carbon powder. Germany is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion and a Shining World Caring Leadership Award laureate. Way to go, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, on your large-scale carbon capture facility. Many thanks also, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, for your support. May this innovative project lead to even more advancements and tools for humankind to clean up the atmosphere, in Heaven’s kindness.

Avian-loving couple dedicate their retirement to saving birds.
Since its founding 24 years ago, 79-year-young Liz Hatton and her 81-year-young husband Chris have been running For the Birds of Indiana, a nonprofit they founded to rescue and rehabilitate injured avians out of their home in the rural city of Westfield in Indiana, United States. The Hattons, originally from the United Kingdom, are supported by a small group of students and volunteers who help feed the few dozen winged guests and clean their rooms and pens across the 5-hectare property. Once rehabilitated, the birds, ranging from owls and hawks to blue jays and vultures, are released back to the wild. Mrs. Hatton hopes to find successors to continue the labor of love. Our praises, thanks and best wishes, Liz and Chris Hatton and volunteers at For the Birds of Indiana. In Divine love, may all our feathered angel co-inhabitants receive such gentle treatment everywhere.
It’s now time to enjoy the joke of the day entitled “Sand Play.”

And now we have a heartline from Mandana in Iran:
For my Master, who is dearer to me than my own life, I am wholeheartedly ready to obey whatever You instruct. My loving Master, whenever I needed or need help, nobody is there to help me, because everybody is busy with other things. Sometimes being alone makes me so tired, and hurt that I don’t have the power to continue. In my loneliness, I spent many days crying for Your loneliness. My love (Master), I adore Your kind voice, and I absolutely understand what You say, and what You feel.
My love, my heart, the beauty of my life, even in these conditions, I will continue Your path with all of my inner love, and outer strength.
Thank You infinitely for planting this elevated, unconditional, and fearless love in my heart, and watering it every day. Because of this, I am more determined to continue every day, despite all the difficulties in life. My love, my heart, and my everything, until the end of my life, I will be at Your service to repay the wisdom that You bestowed on me. If You found me worthy enough, I will be an unconditional tool for You.
