Some of you say you don’t trust any monk to give offerings. I don’t blame you. It’s just, you have to know which monk is good to give to. And any monk who asks for some money, it’s because they don’t have money, and they want to have a little comfortable life for themselves and also for their followers. Maybe some people came in to become monks and nuns under them, and they have to take care of them. […] When I say monks, I don’t mean only Buddhism, other religions as well. You have to judge for yourself whether your church is really led by a good priest, good monk, or not. […] You have to see if they use it for some bad purposes, if they have this opportunity and the financial support to preach, to teach their followers, but they do not preach in the right way – if it’s mostly just for profit, and you see how they live their life, more easy, comfortable, instead of truly wanting to practice and to uplift their own soul as well as other souls.
Saying all this about the bad monks, I don’t mean you should not support other monks if they’re good. Because if you support the good monks or good priests in different religions… I don’t mean just the Buddhist monks. If they are good and they impart the good teaching from the Holy Founder, then the world will become better in some way. Because everything we do affects the whole world as well, not just ourselves and our family members. If you support a bad monk, then he will use it for an ulterior motive, and he will preach the bad teaching, the wrong concept, the wrong ideas.
“Excerpt from ‘Exposing some monks’ tricks in getting offerings from others’ I propose to fundraise through telecommunications to get money. We can use the Zalo and the Viber messaging apps, and this is my experience. I get money from Zalo and Viber – where do I get the money from? For example, when Buddhists come to meet us, people we know, we just connect their phones to our phones, and that's it. So, on their birthday, it popped up on Zalo, and I sent a message ‘Happy Birthday’ to them. Suddenly, my bank (mobile app) beeped ‘ding ding ding ding,’ my bank (mobile app) beeped ‘ding ding ding ding.’ We remind them, we say, ‘I'm here, I'm here, I congratulate madam, I congratulate sir.’ If they have the means, they want to make an offering on the occasion of their party, wedding, funeral, or whatever, then they transfer the money to us. ‘Many a little makes a mickle.’ (Small individual offerings can gradually accumulate into a substantial amount.)
[My] feet have never become calloused, [they] have never become calloused in 15 years of walking, do you see? This is concrete evidence, not a lie at all. As for those others, they’ve only been walking for 1-2 months, 1-2 years and their feet have become calloused – this is due to their physical constitution, that’s the first thing. The second thing is that they lack inner spiritual cultivation. I have learned the method of circulating yin and yang energies. Therefore, I can push the dead cells out [of my feet].”
“Excerpt from ‘Dismantling poverty in a proper way, Connecting the wealth chain, advice from Luang Por Dhammajayo’ Prepare yourself and prepare your money well. Prepare money to make merit. Why do it? Do it so that we can gain merit. Merit will be the source of happiness and success in the future. In every lifetime, both in the human world and in the Divine world. We’ll be quite happy. We will acquire three treasures: human treasure, Divine treasure, and Nirvana treasure. If you don’t do it, you won’t get it.”
Also, his (bad monk’s) energy is bad. He carries it into other people’s hearts and minds, and it will also damage our world’s energy and atmosphere in some way. And of course, doing that, he will create bad karma for himself. And you, the one who supports him or her, will also have to bear the bad consequence of bad karma. And who knows where it leads you. Whatever you do that affects others in an unwholesome way, a bad way, will reflect back to you. And if it’s more of the heavy consequence, then you will have to go to hell with that monk that you support. So that’s all. I just want to warn you.
And these monks… I’m telling you, monks – if you repent and U-turn and do wholesome deeds, really repent and sincerely want to do good, you could be redeemed. Even if you’re demons, I can still help you by Almighty-God-Grace. If you truly turn the other way and do good, repent, thank God and all the Masters, and repent to Them, you still can be redeemed. Be careful how you use your time and the donation of the faithful, because you are the one who will be responsible for your own actions. No one can help you. So do repent now and seek enlightenment wherever you think it can be offered to you.
We live in this world together, so everything we do has to be a kind of support, helping, blessing, loving, and caring for each other – not to harm others for your own benefit, for your own selfish gain. Because you know, even if you don’t believe in the Buddha’s teaching, Christ’s advice, you read those teachings, and you know that the consequence is very grave, and life is too short. No matter if you gain anything, you will lose it in the end. So please, U-turn now. Be good, be moral, be virtuous. “Every saint has a past. Every sinner has a future.” Please U-turn. And you remember, even one person had been deluded and misled into killing 99 persons already. But after he met the Buddha, Buddha taught him something and he understood. He U-turned and the Buddha could still help him. So all of us still have a chance. Please take the chance.
I’m here just to help you. I don’t really want to preach anything, truly, because I don’t really like to be in the public. I don’t really like anything like that. I prefer to be a normal person, enjoy my life, enjoy meditation quietly, just like most of the people in this world. But, I just cannot have the heart to let any of you fall into hell and suffer in any way.
And the more we do bad, the more we damage the energy of this world, and then the world will be ruined or even destroyed. And in such a circumstance where the planet is suddenly gone – dead – then all the beings with souls will suddenly die. In that case, all the souls will be floating around, restlessly running around, flying around, going around, wandering everywhere in the atmosphere with nowhere for them to rest, nowhere for them to anchor.
And that is a very terrible situation because they will be vulnerable to all kinds of demons and ghosts who also in such a situation will abuse them, torture them, torment them, and do all kinds of terrible things to them. And no one will be there to help them at all because there’s no base like the planet Earth anymore. So all of us should think about that and do repent. Do U-turn early. There is always time to U-turn and repent. So please do it now. May God, Buddhas, all the Masters help you and lift your soul up to liberation to go Home, to see the Real Home, which is not in this physical world. Amen. Thank You, God. Thank You, the Ultimate Master, the Son of God. Thank You, all the Masters, in all directions and in all times. We thank You.
I have to tell you that the (Aulacese) Vietnamese Buddhist monks that I was with ever since I was a little kid up to the day I left for India to seek God, they were all good. They were all good and clean – very, very clean – and very truly dedicated in their lives. Because they believe in the teaching of the Buddha.
And I knew also a couple of priests when I was younger; they were also very clean and very humble. I met one when I was young. He was a Christian priest, and my father took me there to the church. It was kind of far away from our house, so we didn’t go every Sunday, but I saw him several times. And he gave me this Communion wafer, very thin, and put it in my mouth. And then I met him again. It must have been like 20-something, 30 years after. And he still looked the same to me. He didn’t look much older at all. I recognized him right away. He didn’t recognize me at all; I think not.
So when he said goodbye, he just said, “Thôi, mình về nhá.” Meaning, “OK, I’ll say goodbye now. I’ll go home now,” something like that. Very friendly. He didn’t even address himself as Father. Some people say, “OK, I’m the monk master, I’m going now.” Or the priest would say, “Thôi, Cha về nhá,” meaning, “Me, the Father, would leave you now.” No, he said it just like you’d say to a friend, “Thôi, mình về nhá.”
Very friendly, very humble, very normal. I really liked him so much, but I never had a chance to see him again after that. After that, after some time, I married, I left home, I became a nun, and then I renounced the nun’s outfit in order to work in the world, be more close to the people, and also make business in order to feed our work so I don’t have to rely on my so-called disciples.
