In today’s news, Qatari charity provides compassionate healthcare in Somalia, World Health Organization Director-General warns about Omicron’s dangers, new research shows dietary shifts to more grain choices would bring greater health and environmental benefits across planet, scientists from United Kingdom and Europe set record for nuclear fusion energy production, non-profit national lawncare movement in United States promotes green landscaping practices, vegan food market expands significantly in Korea, and chimpanzee-people show similar cultural learning patterns to humans.

Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) provides healthcare to the at-risk in Somalia.

The QRCS in Somalia is delivering healthcare services to 30,000 internally displaced persons and returnees by operating the Lafoole Health Center in Lower Shabelle in the southern part of the country. The US$108,000 project offers primary care, including clinical exams, medical tests and medications, delivery services, maternal and child healthcare, and chronic disease follow-ups. Minor operations such as superficial suturing and wound cleaning are also performed. The Qatar Red Crescent Society is a Shining World Compassion Award laureate. Our gratitude, Qatar Red Crescent Society, for your compassionate and much-needed service to vulnerable populations in Somalia. May Allah bless the soulful Somalians to forever live in stability, abundance and peace.

Director-General of World Health Organization warns not to underestimate Omicron.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, commented in early February that in the 10 weeks from the time the Omicron variant of COVID-19 was first discovered, 90 million cases were reported worldwide. This is more than the number of COVID cases recorded in the entire year of 2020. He has noted “a very worrying increase in deaths in most regions of the world.” The Director-General stated, “This virus is dangerous, and it continues to evolve before our very eyes.” He cautioned against underestimating the coronavirus as multiple countries around the world begin to remove COVID restrictions even as a new subvariant known as Omicron BA.2 is spreading rapidly. Thank you, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, for your timely message on the dangers of COVID-19. We pray that all people will practice diligent caution, repent for their past harmful actions and switch to a vegan diet to ensure a safe future, in Divine wisdom. Vegan: the true monk.

Up next, new research shows dietary shifts to more grain choices would bring greater health and environmental benefits across planet. We are going to thank the nutritionists for informing us about the benefits of vitamin D to keep ourselves well. We’ll return with more exciting news after this message here on Supreme Master Television.

Hallo, adventurous viewers, I’m Larry, a vegan gent from the Lionfish kingdom. Every day, I sing with the creation as my heart is open because of the kind path of veganism that I tread. The beauty is that you, too, can easily experience it by going the vegan way. I have some child safety tips to share with you! Please take precautionary measures to keep children safe in or around a hot tub. First and foremost, there should always be adult supervision when little ones are present. A child’s time in the water should be 5 minutes maximum if the water is 40 degrees Celsius. If the water temperature is lower, around 36 degrees Celsius, 15 minutes should be the longest kids stay inside. Instruct them to steer clear of the drain area as their small limbs, clothing, and hair could be sucked in, causing entrapment, and this could potentially lead to drowning. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Pool Safety campaign recommends hot tub owners install drain covers or grates over suction outlets and drains to prevent entrapment. Hot tubs can be fun, but safety must always come first. Thank you for your attention and love you a lot for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the worldwide weather.

Research finds sustainable diets should include drought-tolerant whole grains.

A recent paper by Professor Kyle Davis and doctoral student Dongyang Wei at the University of Delaware in the USA, looked at how global shifts in cereal-grain consumption could contribute to more sustainable diets. Worldwide, grains account for more than 40% of calories, protein, iron and zinc consumed by humans. By looking at historical and current food preferences for individual countries, the scientists found that a change to include more drought-tolerant grains and whole-grains would have important benefits. They concluded that a transition away from refined rice and wheat towards varieties such as maize, sorghum and millet would make more nutrients available while at the same time requiring less water for production. Our appreciation, Dongyang Wei and Professor Kyle Davis, for your timely study. May your work encourage common-sense solutions to ensure people everywhere are well-fed in a way that is mindful of our effect on our beautiful and Divinely-blessed planet, in Celestial goodness.

Record amount of energy produced from nuclear fusion.

Scientists from Europe and the United Kingdom, using an experimental fusion machine called the Joint European Torus, or JET, have set a fusion world record with around 59 megajoules of energy generated during a five second period, which is equivalent to around 11.8 megawatts. Although the experiment did not produce as much energy as was consumed, and would be only enough to power a large house for one day, it is still seen as a very promising step towards generating unlimited clean energy. A scaled-up version of JET, the €20 billion International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), is currently being constructed in France by a number of countries. It is envisioned that ITER will provide a working demonstration of the technology that will enable engineers to then construct a commercial reactor. What encouraging results, participating scientists, with your major advancement in nuclear fusion technology. In God’s upliftment, may humanity soon reach a state of zero-pollution emissions together with a vegan world, as we look towards the future in hope.

Non-profit lawncare organization promotes green practices.

Becoming jobless during the pandemic, Brian Schwartz, from New Jersey, United States, stated that while he was looking for a way to create his own good news, he began mowing the yards of senior citizens, the disabled, veterans and the disadvantaged, free of charge. After news began to spread of his caring initiative, he founded the non-profit, I Want to Mow Your Lawn, to connect volunteers with those in need in local communities. The kind-hearted Mr. Schwartz has made environmentally sustainable practices of lawncare at the core of his cause and recently offered eco-friendly electric equipment upgrades to all volunteers directly through the non-profit, which currently offers its services in 37 states across the USA. What inspiring news, Brian Schwartz, for your sincere efforts of service to others and spreading green landscaping practices. May Heaven shine upon your benevolent endeavor, as it motivates many to safeguard their fellow citizens and planet. Making war? Ah, that’s a sure sign that ur soul will b condemned 4ever in hell.

Coming up, vegan food market sees significant expansion in Korea. We’ll just take a moment to pray for a Golden Era in which all humans become enlightened saints on Earth. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more assuring news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Lively News for a Splendid World.

Plant-based food market grows quickly in Korea.

According to an analysis by the United Kingdom-headquartered market research company Euromonitor, the vegan food market in Korea grew 35% year-on-year between 2020 and 2021. A fifth of Koreans have reduced their meat consumption due to ecological and health reasons, with millennials, or those aged 26-41, driving this growth to a large extent. A researcher at the Consumer Trend Center at Seoul National University, Dr. Jeon Mi-young observed, “Many in their 20s and 30s identify themselves as citizens of the world… they think of everyone, including plants and animals, as equal beings on Earth.” Kudos, wise Korean consumers, for selecting more plant-based products. Thank you, Euromonitor, for reporting this encouraging data. May noble Korea flourish as its conscientious citizens embrace the compassionate and gracious vegan lifestyle, in Buddha’s benevolence.

Social learning culture of chimpanzee-people shows similarity to humans.

A study by Dr. Kathelijne Koops of the University of Zurich and her colleagues, concluded that chimpanzee-people learn complex behavior from their peers and, in that way, their culture is more similar to humans than previously thought. The researchers studied a group of wild members in the Nimba Mountains of Guinea, who were given stone tools and nuts to crack. Even though a separate, nearby community of the same species was using stones to crack nuts, the group being studied did not independently acquire the behavior and came to ignore the tools completely. This finding suggests that the use of implements is a socially-learned behavior and that ape-people may even have a cumulative culture – which means they can transmit and modify traditions over time through sharing and learning. How fascinating it is to better understand our lovely chimp-people brethren! May we safeguard and respect every species as children of the Divine.

Our clock shows that it’s time for some cheerful mood upliftment, so let’s check out the joke of the day. It’s entitled “Only What’s Necessary.”

An elderly couple sits at their dining table eating quietly. The husband takes his dentures out and puts them in a small box next to him. His wife says:

“But Abel, what on Earth are you doing?”

He grabs his water glass and says:

“Well, I don’t suppose I need any teeth for drinking, do I, darling?”

?!
