In today’s news, urgent flood relief rendered to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, new study warns vital Atlantic Ocean current system is on verge of collapse, researchers in United States find vegan diet with daily soybean intake reduces menopausal symptoms, United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization helps implement forest fire management program in Jordan, Muslim refugee makes mark in Scandinavian fashion industry, Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones launches vegan leather shoe line, and Grauer’s gorillas protected by community ownership of conservation area in Democratic Republic of the Congo.

International organizations provide immediate assistance to flood-affected Rohingya refugees.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and partners rushed to assist thousands of Rohingya refugees, who were left homeless by extensive flooding after a continuous three-day, torrential monsoon downpour over Bangladesh in late July 2021. More than 21,000 refugees in the Cox’s Bazar camp were displaced, and the affected families were evacuated to six different multi-purpose cyclone shelters. There they were provided with daily supplies, protection, and medical services. The operation was extremely challenging as landslides blocked the main roads that were already under water, and it happened amid Bangladesh’s nationwide stringent coronavirus lockdown. In total, there are around 900,000 Rohingya refugees residing in packed camps at the border district of Cox’s Bazar. A high salute, International Organization for Migration and partners, for your all-out efforts to assist the flood-affected Rohingya refugees. In Allah’s love, we pray for the well-being of all the relief workers and refugees in overcoming the obstacles and difficulties.

Eminent scientist cautions Atlantic Ocean current system approaching collapse.

A new study warns that the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), a major ocean current system, is showing “significant” signs of “an almost complete loss of stability.” The AMOC, which transports warm waters from the tropics and brings back cold waters from the North Atlantic, a process that distributed heat and energy around the planet, has been weakened by freshwater from the melting of Greenland’s ice sheet amid global warming. According to the research, rising temperatures could collapse the AMOC, leading to catastrophic consequences, including severe disruptions in global weather systems, increasing storms, and temperature decreases in Europe, along with rising sea levels in eastern North America. The author of the publication, Dr. Niklas Boers of the Germany-based Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research, said that finding signals of an AMOC shutdown is “scary” and asserted that this must not be allowed to happen. Many thanks, Dr. Niklas Boers, for your eye-opening paper. May humanity urgently switch to the climate-saving vegan lifestyle, in Divine brilliance.

Up next, researchers in United States find vegan diet with daily soybean intake reduces menopausal symptoms. We now pause to thank the focus pullers, who have the challenging job of making sure that the camera’s lens is always correctly focused on the key element being filmed during a recording. Focus pullers provide us with seamless and exact imaging of an actor’s performance. When we return, more cooling news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television! Vegan: let’s prove that we know logic n reason.

Hooray, treasured friends, it’s me, Babul the vegan Indian Bull Frog! Cool vibes come with a cool lifestyle. Be vegan and make the world an awe-inspiring place for all beings. I have a helpful tip for you. Keep your area clean while you cut or drill drywall by having a vacuum out and ready to suck up the dust before it disperses. If you do a lot of drywall sanding, consider purchasing or renting a drywall dust vacuum with a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter to trap even the smallest particles produced. A standard paper filter only catches bigger particles and a vacuum with such a filter will scatter fine dust throughout the house. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Vegan diet with soybeans relieves menopausal symptoms.

The North American Menopause Society in the United States recently conducted a study on alleviating menopausal symptoms and discovered that a low-fat vegan diet with 86 grams (half a cup) of whole soybeans daily for 12 weeks eliminated almost all hot flashes. Moderate-to-severe hot flashes were reduced by 84%, or from five per day to less than one, and 60% of the women had no moderate-to-severe hot flashes at all. Previous similar research with soy products theorizes that the reduction in symptoms is due to the isoflavones in the soy that are turned into a kind of plant estrogen in the gut called equol, which is known to assist with the condition. Way to go, North American Menopause Society, for your life-enhancing research to help women during menopause. In Heaven’s abundant grace, may your study help further reinforce the multitude of benefits of the loving plant-based diet.

United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) initiates forest fire management program in Jordan.

Working in cooperation with Jordan’s Ministry of Agriculture, the initiative will enhance the country’s ability to protect and manage forest resources and ecosystems, while reducing food insecurity, land degradation and the effects of climate change. According to the Forestry Department data, forest fires in Jordan have been increasing in frequency and intensity, thus threatening local communities’ livelihoods and safety. A project workshop was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, His Excellency Khaled Musa Al Henefat, who emphasized the importance of forest preservation and the sector’s development in Jordan. In support of this program, the FAO is providing a US$100,000 grant. Jordan is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Public Health Protection recipient. Our thanks, FAO and Jordan’s Ministry of Agriculture, for your eco-conscious endeavor to protect the life-giving forests. May these natural wonders thrive as we learn to be better stewards of Mother Earth, in Divine grace.

Muslim refugee brings cultural diversity to Scandinavian fashion world.

Somalia-born Rawdah Mohamed, 29, grew up in a refugee camp in Kenya with her 10 siblings, before moving to Norway at the age of eight. Facing discrimination in her childhood due to her differences in appearance and clothing, Ms. Mohamed has become an advocate for Muslim women by popularizing the hijab and eastern dress through modeling. She posts her creative looks on her Instagram page with over 140,000 followers, incorporating the hijab and modest clothing with modern European styles. Recently, Ms. Mohamed was appointed the editor of the fashion magazine Vogue Scandinavia and hopes to be a “cultural force” in her new position. As a volunteer, she also has been providing mental healthcare to hospital patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our hats off to you, Rawdah Mohamed. In Allah’s infinite compassion, may all societies become ever more inclusive as we discover the beauty in all ethnicities.

Catherine Zeta-Jones releases new range of vegan leather shoes.

The Academy and Tony Award-winning actress has teamed up with British vegan footwear brand Butterfly Twists to create two new styles of vegan sneakers available in multiple colors. Ms. Zeta-Jones stated that it was important for her to make something that was “elegant and comfortable, and still at a great price point.” The stylish shoes, inspired by her Welsh heritage, are handmade with high-quality vegan leather and designed for modern-day busy women. Other celebrities partnering with brands who recently released vegan shoes include actor Jason Momoa and musical artist Jaden Smith, both of the United States. A round of applause, Catherine Zeta-Jones, for your fashionable and cruelty-free creations! We are so elated to witness the shift towards ethical fashion. May the day soon arrive when all animals are cherished and protected as dear family members, in the grace of the Providence.

Gorillas in the Congo guarded through community forest ownership.

Only found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Grauer’s gorillas - also called the eastern lowland gorilla - are facing threats from habitat loss, poaching, and unregulated mining operations. Currently, there are about 6,800 of these gorillas remaining in the wild. The DRC government has officially recognized that community ownership of the 1,580-square-kilometer Nkuba Conservation Area, which connects two important national parks for the gorillas, provides an enhanced opportunity for the survival of this critically endangered species. The non-profit Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund offers conservation training and jobs for women as well as helps to co-manage the area together with local communities. Three cheers, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and area residents, for your earnest efforts to preserve the invaluable gorillas. May animals be well-protected in all countries, in God’s nurturing love.

Here’s a daily dose of pleasantry to lift your spirits. It’s called, “Complicated Order.”

Elizabeth went to her favorite vegan sandwich shop in the city.

“Hi, welcome to Vegan Sandwiches Deluxe. What can I get you today?”

“I’d really like to have the hummus and avocado sandwich, please, but I’m trying to watch my figure, so I think I’ll only have half.”

“Yes, certainly. Would you like the bottom half or the top half?”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Thanh Hà in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, Before I met You, I was living in sickness, destitution and injustice. I was wondering to myself, “How long will this life torment me?” One day, I didn’t know whom to talk to, so I looked up to the sky and said, “Mom, please take me Home. I am so frustrated with this life already.” I cried and cried until I slept. In my dream, I saw a person who wore a brown dress with an ancient belt, who brought two girls and came down from the cloud, smiled at me and said, “I let these two girls come down to be your friends, to ease your sadness.” After that day, there were two people who came to my house and asked me if I wanted to be vegan, and they gave me the book “The Key of Immediate Enlightenment 1.” I read and understood everything about the source of my sorrow during the past many years. After three months of being vegan and keeping the precepts, I got initiated. Luckily, with my prayer, my whole family became vegan, practice spiritually, and work to produce vegan foods. The whole village praised that now we are a vegan family that is healthy, gentle and moral. I would like to thank Master and wish You good health. May Heavens support You so that a Vegan World will soon come true. I also thank the Supreme Master Television team. May Heaven bless you. Thanh Hà from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Lucky Thanh Hà, We are truly sorry that you had to experience many of life’s misfortunes before receiving initiation and recognizing your Great Self.

Be happy that Master speaks to your heart: “Devout Thanh Hà, when we sincerely pray for salvation, the Buddhas will send help to ease our suffering. They are always with us throughout the eons, waiting tirelessly to bring us Home should we feel weary from life’s vicissitudes. I am glad that you are better now, and your family benefited much from your prayers as well. We will continue to thank Heavens and pray that souls who desire to return to their Original Abode will be shown the right way. May you and delightful Âu Lạc (Vietnam) be protected always, in the Buddhas’ guidance.”
