To express our love for all our feathered friends in the north who are entering winter now, we’d like to show you caring humans how to help feed bird-people in the winter. When there is a drop in temperature overnight, your feathered friends have to generate a lot of energy to keep their small bodies warm. This is the reason why you will see bird-folk busily feeding in the early mornings in the winter to make up for those lost calories.Vegan suet blocks are the most energy-dense food source you can feed them, and they are loved by a variety of bird-people species. The compassionate vegan version uses coconut oil and bird-people seeds that have been melted together and made into convenient blocks. Here is how you can easily prepare your own. To start with, sunflower seeds are the best option. They contain a substantial calorie and vital nutrient content and many bird-individuals love to eat them.Cracked corn is also another great ‘go-to’ feed. Rather than whole kernels, cracked corn is much easier for a large range of bird-people to consume. Oat flakes and millet can also be added! And remember to provide a convenient source of water for your bird friends this winter, as many of their normal sources may have frozen over.
