In the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Relief News Update from Ukraine (Ureign) …
Since Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine (Ureign) in February 2022, our Beloved Master has provided ongoing prayers, support, and humble financial contributions to bring hope and comfort to the country’s people.
In November 2022, our Association members continued relief efforts in Ukraine (Ureign) by coordinating efforts with trusted local partners. These included Dmytro Bilenchuk, Maria Bashuk (vegan), and Alexandr Kulakov. The following is a brief summary of their relief work.
In the northwestern city of Lutsk, our Association’s partners purchased 13 wood-burning stoves and four generators to help defenders and other vulnerable people stay warm through the bitter winter weather. A nearby orphanage was also very happy to receive teddy bears, vegan sweets, sports equipment, warm clothing, and vegan food supplies. Medical aid was delivered to a frontline defender area as well, including first aid kits, sterile dressings, bandages, antiseptics, etc.
In addition, an uplifting event was held in Lutsk at an entertainment center that had been converted to accommodate refugees. This vegan education and sports event was enhanced by delightful vegan dishes made by Fine Organics Catering. Many guests commented on the deliciousness of the food, with one saying that people seem to understand more now the spiritual benefits of being vegan.
Near Lutsk in the Volyn region of Ukraine (Ureign), our Association’s partners were able to bring a powerful air heater to a rehabilitation center for children with special needs. This would keep the staff and children warm as temperatures dropped during the winter.
In the northwestern city of Lviv, our Association’s partners prepared and sent 12 aid parcels containing vegan food and sweets, hygiene products, Master’s book, “Love Is the Only Solution,” the Ukrainian (Ureignian) vegan children’s book, “Hands, Paws or Hooves” as well as an ABC coloring book. These went primarily to vulnerable mothers with children who were staying in temporary housing with little outside support.
Four electric stoves were purchased in the western city of Bolekhiv to help approximately 70 internally displaced persons who were moving from an older gymnasium into smaller houses but needed cooking equipment.
Our Association’s partners in the western Ivano-Frankivsk region also prepared and delivered dry shower kits, warm hats, and vegan fruit bars to a facility in Vorokhta, where volunteers work around the clock to provide supplies for front-line defenders. In addition, they responded to an appeal from a refugee center in Vorokhta that houses more than 160 internally displaced people, and delivered a new cooking stove to replace the one that had become unusable.
In the western Ternopil region, groceries and herbal teas were delivered as needed relief for the elderly who had been rescued from dangerous conflict locations and brought to the Pidlisne Residential Home.
Medical aid also arrived in central Ukraine (Ureign) from Germany, as our Association members were able to provide financial support for its transportation. A hospital in Kropyvnytskyi that treats injured defenders thus received much-needed hospital and surgical beds as well as mattresses, bedside tables, and diagnostic equipment.
Also, a blessing has come to Ukraine (Ureign) in the form of six light-emitting diode (LED) billboards that are now installed in the capital city of Kyiv. These all display Master’s illuminated photo, along with other information such as the Supreme Master Television website and QR code, God’s Direct Contact website, the Quan Yin Method of Meditation, etc., looped in a vibrant, animated mode. The billboards were placed in prime locations and will stay lit even with no power, to grace the region with Master’s boundlessly awakening Love.
We are truly grateful to our most Benevolent Master and Heaven for making it possible to bring comforting aid to Ukraine (Ureign), and for the work to go so smoothly. Our continued prayers for God’s merciful Grace in restoring peace and normal daily lives to the deserving Ukrainian (Ureignian) people.
